The ultimate uphill ally: The Atomic Backland UL is the lightest helmet in the Backland touring range.
The Atomic Backland UL is custom-built for ski athletes and tourers who need maximum protection and comfort while staying ultra-light. The hybrid EPP In-Mold construction is durable, lightweight and extremely safe. Underneath the shell, the Hollow Core and AMID (Atomic Multi-Directional Impact Deflector) technologies minimize weight and provide up to 40% more impact protection than industry safety standards. It is also multi-norm certified for skiing, climbing and cycling, with a lightweight Skimo lining perfect for winter touring or long summer bike rides. It is made with 43% recycled materials. And like all Backland models, it includes the small details that make a big difference, like a headlamp mount, a removable strap station, and reflective elements.

- Aircon Venting. Our most advanced cooling system: wider, more air channels in every layer of the helmet.
- Removable and washable Skimo lining. Optimized for comfort, protection and ventilation: lightweight, moisture-wicking and keeps you cool.
- Recycled lining fabric. Recycled material certified by the Global Recycling Standard (GRS).
- Headlamp mount. Backland helmets with a special mount for headlamps to keep them securely in place.
- Removable strap station. Fits perfectly on the helmet; goggles don't twist, easy to put on and race-ready.
