The Shadow is the very first ski boot with assisted performance: it delivers more power with less physical force. Thanks to the major innovations Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade, you get more efficient energy transmission, progressive flex, vibration absorption for unique behavior on snow.
Reconciling performance and comfort is the mission of the Shadow boot, designed in the shadow of our workshops in Italy, in Montebelluna, in the sanctuary of the ski boot. The Shadow 120 MV (Medium Volume) all-mountain ski boot is designed for intermediate to expert skiers with a standard foot. Its new seamless one-piece liner has become a benchmark in terms of comfort and ease of entry. This liner features Auxetic technology, a three-dimensional structure that allows the material to actively expand under the effect of heat during thermoforming and to shrink when cooled. This liner then perfectly fits the shape of your foot.

ASSISTED PERFORMANCE SYSTEM The Shadow is the first ski boot with assisted performance. This system allows the skier to obtain more power, more rebound, by using less physical force. It is composed of two major innovations in the world of skiing: the double pivot and the suspension blade, which work together like the lever arm principle. The skier thus obtains 26% more rebound by using less physical energy.
AUXETIC TECHNOLOGY Our slippers feature the brand new Auxetic technology. This technology allows materials to actively expand when heated and to shrink when cooled. This allows the slipper to adapt perfectly to your body shape and respect the lines of your foot as much as possible.
NEW ONE PIECE LINER The all-new revolutionary Shadow liner will bring you more comfort and a feeling of support for your foot in the shoe. We have reworked the lines of the liner to have no seams or support points that could create areas of discomfort.
SHADOW BOOT BOARD The all-new ultra-light bootboard has been reworked to provide more insulation to improve the feeling of warmth and comfort.
ADJUSTABLE PERFORMANCE - FLEX ADJUST You can customize your flex by changing the elastomers located at the double pivot and the blade at the back of the shell. This change of elastomer between soft and hard allows you to reduce the flex of the shoe by 10%.
SUSPENSION BLADE The suspension blade is a blade integrated between the shell and the cuff. With this new innovation, we have an excellent and fluid connection between the top and bottom of the boot. This gives you vibration absorption, suspension but also more energy returned to your ski. The interchangeable elastomer integrated at the top of the blade allows you to adjust the flex sensation in the upper part of the turn and thus play on the snap and rebound of the skier.
DUAL PIVOT Most ski boots are built with a pivot point and two fixed points very concentrated with each other between the cuff and the shell. With the new Lange Shadow boot, the pivots are moved away from each other, which creates a lever arm effect and assisted performance. The energy traditionally committed by the skier is here assisted by the double pivot. Thus, you will spend less physical energy and obtain more rebound, always in a progressive manner, a trademark at Lange.
