The Atomic Backland Summit 9 BR binding is a versatile ski touring binding with release value adjustment and flex absorption offering maximum versatility and ease of use.
The release adjusts on a scale of 1 to 9 for reliable operation, superior safety, and performance. The AutoFlex system features a spring under the heel mechanism that automatically provides 5 mm of travel between the toe and heel during the curve of a turn. The result is an easy-to-use binding that provides elasticity to support the ski's natural flex and offers greater security, absorption, and performance. Easily adjust your climbing wedge from 0° to 7° or 13° with a simple flick of the ski pole. The touring brakes feature a unique locking system for simple transitions from touring to ski mode. The patented step-in assist system guides the boot perfectly into position. The toe and heel piece use high-performance PA material reinforced with fiberglass for a binding that is lightweight on the ascent and reliable and powerful on the descent.
