Description
A superlight ski for ski days, the Atomic Backland 86 SL was designed to fly over the piste and enjoy the descent. A reinterpretation of the original Backland SL construction, the ski features a low-impact design and uses lower carbon raw materials to reduce production waste and CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared to the Backland 85, 2021). Its all-mountain profile uses a natural wood-to-fiberglass ratio to create a ski shape that improves ascent and downhill performance on harder snow. The Carbon Backbone reinforcement increases rigidity while the poplar/caruba core gives the ski lightness and agility. HRZN 3D adds surface area in the tip for a lighter ski in powder, while reducing weight for a faster, more powerful ski.
