Description
The Atomic Backland 89 SL is light and efficient uphill, reliable and stable with great buoyancy downhill. The result of a scientific life cycle assessment, the use of poplar, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing edges significantly reduces CO2 equivalent emissions from materials by 30% (compared to in Backland 85, 2021). The HRZN 3D increases the surface area for a lighter ski in powder and greater maneuverability in variable conditions. Its all-terrain profile uses a natural wood-to-fiberglass ratio to create a ski shape that improves ascent and optimizes downhill performance. The Carbon Backbone reinforcement provides additional rigidity while the poplar/caruba core maintains the lightness and responsiveness of the ski. The all mountain rocker and its wider 89 mm profile allow total adaptability on any type of terrain.
