Description
Description
Designed for female backcountry skiers seeking freeride adventure, the Atomic Backland 101 W offers an excellent balance between uphill performance and downhill fun. Building on the construction of the Backland 108 W, it uses the FreeTour profile to ensure power and stability on the descent. The Ultra Light Woodcore made of poplar and caruba provides an optimal compromise between lightness and performance, while the HRZN 3D tip increases surface area to improve float in deep snow. The Powder Rocker, with pronounced tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot, ensures smooth, playful skiability in powder, as well as in tracked-out or crusty snow. By using more wood and less fiberglass, metal, and resin, its construction reduces CO2 emissions by 26% (compared to the 2022 Backland 100). Developed with skiers like Amie Engerbretson, this model stands out for its efficiency on the climb and its aggressive performance on the descent.
