Designed for the backcountry and committed freeriding, the Atomic Backland 109 combines great flotation with excellent touring efficiency in a lightweight, low-impact construction. The FreeTour profile combines more poplar wood with less metal, fiberglass, and resin to achieve a more harmonious flex and dynamic performance. With its 109 mm waist and HRZN 3D tip, it offers excellent lift in deep snow, while an ash wood insert under the binding reinforces durability. The Ultra Light Woodcore made of poplar and caruba ensures an optimal balance between lightness and performance. The Powder Rocker, with pronounced tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot, ensures smooth, playful skiability in powder as well as tracked or crusty snow. Thanks to a selection of materials with a lower carbon footprint, this construction reduces CO2 emissions by 26% compared to the 2022 Backland 100. Inspired by Chris Rubens, this ski offers the ideal balance of weight and performance for freeride touring.
