Blaze 86

The narrowest Blaze model (86 mm width at the waist) is available in four lengths and offers an ideal combination of smooth riding and light weight. In addition to its proven 3D Radius Sidecut sidecut, the Blaze 86 features a wood core extending the entire length of the ski, from tip to tail. This construction not only reduces the weight and increases the responsiveness of the ski, but also avoids the use of plastic inserts – a modest but nevertheless positive environmental benefit. Thanks to suspension elements integrated into the contours of the tip and tail, this model can cope with unfavorable blown snow conditions. The elastic rubber material applied to the tip and tail acts as a shock absorber and ensures increased resistance to disturbances and optimized flotation. The Blaze series is primarily designed to negotiate short, fast turns. However, its three different radii of curvature, associated in particular with the hybrid multi-layer wood core extending from the tip to the tail, are suitable for all types of riding and are suitable for all uses, even the most ambitious. The Blaze 86 is particularly aimed at all-mountain skiers looking for sporty performance off the slopes and freeriders or classic touring skiers ready to trade an extra 100g for significantly improved gliding properties! Thanks to its lightness, the Blaze is also appreciated as a freeride and touring ski. For this purpose, Völkl also offers specially adapted sealskins in all sizes for all Blaze models.
