SRAM’s XG-1270 cassette is the next generation of drivetrains. It optimizes electronic shifting and incorporates X-Range and XDR technologies. X-Range offers a wider, more progressive gear range while providing smarter shifting settings.

The XDR freehub body is a universal mounting system for cassettes with a center distance of less than 11 teeth. It allows drivetrains to be lighter and more versatile, without requiring new rear axle standards, new designs, or even new cassette tools. The XDR interface is 1.85mm wider than the XD and is designed for road bike hubs. XDR freehub bodies are compatible with all XD cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85mm spacer behind it.
