The foundation of every Eagle drivetrain is its chain - and the NX Eagle chain is designed and manufactured using SRAM's authentic Eagle architecture, so it's fully compatible with every other component in the Eagle ecosystem. The NX Eagle chain features a strong axle, the Eagle PowerLock system and efficient, smooth shifting you can count on every time.
Technologies:
- PowerLock: SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, safe and consistent way to connect our chains. Although PL does not require special tools for installation, the particularly tight tolerances of 10- and 11-speed transmissions require that each PowerLock be used only once.
- Eagle: Eagle technology represents our latest 1X drivetrain technology. Eagle is a lighter, simpler, more durable and easier to use transmission. Eagle features all-new 1X components, designed for even greater durability and performance, while maintaining a significant weight advantage over other drivetrain solutions. Eagle technology also offers an extended gear range of 520%, which is equivalent to a 2x11 drivetrain.
- Flowlink: The ultra-smooth inner chainrings are completely free of square edges, allowing the chain to engage the cassette and chainring with much less friction, for quieter performance and longer life. The design allows for a narrower overall profile that can handle greater angles, and also allows for a flatter outer plate, meaning more consistent chain riveting and better overall strength.
