Description
Description
This is the new standard in heavy-duty braking. We've added 15% more piston power and 30% more volume to the lever reservoir, ensuring peak performance for the entire stroke. And thanks to SwingLink™ and Lever Pivot Bearing technology, lever feel remains smooth and progressive, regardless of pulling force. Go deeper and grab more power.
Technologies:
- Bleeding Edge: With this new caliper fluid circuit, the bleed port has been moved to the bottom of the caliper, and all four piston bores can communicate. So, during bleeding, the fluid naturally fills the caliper, allowing easier and more regular bleeding.
- Contact point adjustment: Some people like the instant power of a short-throw lever. Others prefer the feeling of a longer run. With the contact point adjustment, you can choose the position you want your fingers to be in when your brakes are engaged. It's a quick and easy way to customize the feel of your brakes without having to move the pads. This is also a way to balance the two brake levers so that they are exactly the same.
- Lever Pivot Bearings: Precision sealed bearings at the lever pivot enhance crisp, precise lever action and consistent, light, single-finger feel.
- MatchMaker compatible: Save weight and bulk on the bar with MatchMaker. This system accommodates SRAM levers, a number of SRAM triggers and RockShox PushLoc controls, all in one lightweight, tidy collar.
- MatchMaker The MatchMaker X collar is more than just a collar. It's like Martha Stewart bringing order to your cockpit. Since each clamp accepts up to three controls, you can put everything on two clamps, from your XLoc suspension lockout, your SRAM shifters, your SRAM and AVID brake levers, as well as your Reverb XLoc remote. Unless you're genetically creating longer thumbs, this is the perfect way to get everything within easy reach. Like Martha would do
- PiggyBack Tank: The brake fluid reservoir on the latest SRAM lever model is optimized for both performance and ease of use. The PiggyBack reservoir provides a simple and safe way to manage brake fluid, and also allows for ambidextrous lever placement - so you can change your levers on the handlebars and use them while motorcycling without problem.
- Range adjustment: The fit and feel of the brake lever is a personal thing. Pilots have individual positioning preferences, as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. Reach Adjust makes it easy to adjust your lever for maximum one-finger control for everyone.
- SwingLink: Squeeze a SRAM brake lever and you'll notice it immediately. Less dead zone. More positive engagement. A new cam system requires less lever travel to push the pads toward the rotor. That's all well and good, but there's more to perfect braking performance than just horsepower. You need control. Many braking systems minimize the dead zone, but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, the leverage rate curve is flat and smooth, avoiding the "on/off" feeling of braking. It's the perfect balance of power and precision.
- Closing the timing port: The timing port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the lever cylinder bore. When the lever is pressed, a gasket passes through this area and closes the port, pressurizing the system. SRAM's timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore, resulting in reliable, consistent stopping power.
- Heat shield: The stainless steel heat shield breaks the thermal connection between the pad and the caliper body, reducing the caliper fluid temperature by approximately 20°C, even under the most extreme testing conditions.
Features :
- Designed specifically for high demands
- Pivot bearing provides crisp lever feel and fatigue-free driving.
- Metal pads come standard for more power and longer wear.
