The Montero AS Ski with Strive 13D bindings from Stockli offers a fun and agile experience you won't want to miss. The “AS” stands for “All-mountain Slalom,” and the capabilities of this ski match that calls well. This ski is happiest making quick, short to medium turns, during which you'll quickly get a taste of how easily it transitions from edge to edge. As a frontline ski with some all-mountain inspiration, you get a little more freedom and agility in your carve, leading to endless days of fun turns. Those looking for a fast, dynamic ride of the highest quality will surely appreciate Stockli's Montero AS paired with their Strive 13D bindings.
FEATURES
Adaptive Contact Length - The greater the edge angle, the more contact the edge has with the snow, resulting in more grip and stability when cornering. The playful feeling remains without needing to give up stability.
Full Edge Contact - The ski is wider at the tip, making turn initiation both quicker and easier, while improving grip through more edge contact.
Light Core - Special types of wood are used for off-road, freeride and touring models.
SME Light - The same edge thickness as SME (Solid Metal Edge). The edge is not as thick in the ski and is pressed differently.
Tail Rocker - A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius.
Rocker - The longer curvature of the blade, called rocker technology, is specially adapted for each ski model.
Flex Torsion Control - Special transverse and longitudinal cutouts ensure that the front and rear of the ski are more flexible when it comes to flexing and twisting. This way, on the one hand, the ski can flex more easily, making it easier to steer in turns. On the other hand, you can always keep control of the ski in transitions because the twist of the ski remains adaptable.
