PureGrip Compound
The new advanced compound.
Based on activated silica compounds, this technology was originally intended for a performance level compound, but after intensive development at our Korbach R&D department facilities, a new advanced compound with adhesion properties and exceptional cross-country sports has been developed. This new rubber compound, self-explanatoryly named "PureGrip", ranks just behind our BlackChili compound and is used in our performance products in the road and mountain bike sectors. While providing great grip, it is also durable and very resistant - two characteristics of Continental tires, which are exclusively manufactured at the factory in Hefei (Asia).
Shieldwall system
The ShieldWall system optimally combines high puncture protection and low rolling resistance with reduced weight. This is made possible by an additional layer of full puncture protection, which consists of a finely woven twill fabric. This gives the tire high resistance to punctures and damage. Despite its extra layer, the tire has a very good cushioning property and a high degree of flexibility to adapt perfectly to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless ready bead allows for easy and uncomplicated tire mounting. To achieve the best results in sealing and use, we recommend the use of the new Continental RevoSealant sealant.
