This shorter version is ideal for light ski tours, avalanche rescue training workshops and thinner snowpacks. The Black Diamond Quickdraw Probe 240 features durable aluminum 6-strand construction, Kevlar cable for reduced weight, and our innovative CordLock technology. Thanks to its finger-wire locking mechanism, CordLock technology allows secure storage of the probe without the need for a cover and therefore allows for accelerated deployment when the time comes. The Probe 240 offers ultra-fast, one-step deployment in an emergency; Kevlar cable keeps overall weight to a minimum.
