Racetiger SL 100th Anniversary

Launched in 1970 under the name "Renntiger", the Racetiger is the flagship model of the Völkl brand in terms of high performance and success. The Racetiger SL will express its full potential on slalom courses, and more generally on the track or in any other circumstance requiring ultra-fast edge changes, high reaction speed and extraordinary sliding properties from start to finish. For the coming season, the Racetiger SL will be equipped with Tailored Carbon Tip spatulas for the first time. The custom-cut carbon fibers allow optimal adaptation of the ski to its field of use. The thickness and arrangement of the fibers determine the level of force and energy accumulation required, very precisely in key areas of the ski. The result is a tip effect offering great agility, with a precise response from the start of the turn. The new SL model allows you to negotiate the shortest bend radii with minimal effort and without losing precision or control. Its improved performance results mainly from its slightly shortened and flattened tip rocker, but also and above all from its modified geometry. Its narrower waist width promotes a much more dynamic and responsive riding style, with perfectly balanced edge changes. The features of this ski are ideally complemented by 3D Glass technology, two full-length layers of Titanal and the proven multi-layer wood core, but also by the new R-Motion 3 GW binding. The shortened plate combined with a wider drilling template offers more direct and powerful transmission of support while promoting faster edge changes. But the key advantage of this ski lies in its two rear screws, now adjustable, allowing the binding to slide easily. The ski is then able to progress harmoniously over the entire flex line with improved edge grip and without being blocked.
